MBA - Moto Benelli Armi was founded by Lino Spisni, Paolo Benelli, Innocenzo Nardi Dei together with Giancarlo Morbidelli.
Based in Urbino, Italy, the target was to make production- models of the 50 and 125 Morbidellis GP bikes.

In 1975 Morbidelli Benelli Armi launched a production racer called the Ufo.
New style of engine and a distinctive frame make the Ufo easy recognizable.
End of 1975 yet a new engine was presented. Designed by former Van Veen engineer Jörg Möller
this new powerful engine had in layout more than a slight resemblance to the Kreidler,
with its Nikasiled horisontal barrel, Hoeckle crankshaft as well as bore and stroke.
Late 1976 a revised bike was introduced, with a new frame.
This design lasted until 1981.
Lack of engine- spares made racers exchange engines to keep on racing.
